5-Day Retreat

This deeply transformative 5-day retreat honours the dawning of the Vata dosha. When we come into this season with clarity and stability, it can be one of great creativity and manifestation instead of anxiety and despair.

Given the right circumstances, including nature immersion, wonderful people connections and important insights, this time of year can be a bountiful harvest of all that you have worked for.

Join like-minded beautiful souls for a deeply immersive experience in nature and self-study. Together, we will land together and chart a path forward to the healing of this magnificent planet.

Our Hosts, Northern Edge Algonquin

Kawaymog Lake, South River, Ontario

Northern Edge Algonquin is a completely off-grid award-winning retreat center that invites guests to unplug in nature for custom-tailored, multi-day experiences that reconnect and inspire the leader within. By stepping away from the everyday use of technology and into community connection, leaning into self and reconnecting with the earth, they believe we can all become better stewards for both ourselves and the land.

Nourish Yourself: Meals & Dining

Mealtime is, hands down, one of the most memorable aspects of an experience at the Edge. Chef Gregor will seriously dazzle your tastebuds with locally-sources, yet globally-inspired meals. His culinary experiences have been recognized by the tourism industry as some of the best in Canada, and the Edge was actually the first ever food provider in Ontario recognized by Feast On for our taste of place as a certified purveyor of locally sourced food.

Thank you so much for a marvellous weekend retreat! It truly was just what I needed — a reset of my internal compass to True North.

Your yoga practices helped not only my body, but also my spirit. The ayurvedic conversations continue to teach me and reinforce my understanding of myself, and also helped me to connect with others.

Not needing to watch the time constantly was honestly so freeing and really helped me to unwind so much more quickly. Of course, the setting — the entire venue — was spectacular and truly supported the experience you offered. I am leaving this weekend with a renewed sense of optimism and faith in myself— thank you so much, my friend, for this gift.

Canvas Cabins & Habitat Cabins

Canvas cabins offer simple elegance in a wood and canvas structure which allows natural light in. These cabins are unheated glamping tents..best for hearing the loons! Washrooms & showers just a short walk away.

Located centrally and surrounded by the maple and balsam fir forest, the habitat cabins Osprey and Tamarack feature two single beds plus a loft with a double bed, topped with feather duvets and colourful linens, and are most-suited to sharing with 1-2 friends or another participant.

Studio Cabins

The most popular accommodation choice at the Edge, these wooden cabins come equipped with a woodstove for cooler nights and simple ensuite with a sink and composting toilet. Each equipped with a double bed and single bed, these cabins are ideal for couples and/or friends. Bear’s Den Studio Suite shares similar features, with two single beds and a double bed all in semi-private cubbies. The studio cabins are a 1-minute walk from main programming spaces and showers.

Dreamers Hill Log Cabin

Each room has a special queen bed that can convert into two twin beds, so you can book these rooms private, or with a friend.
